Who We Are
Step's Aurora Guide is operated by Steps Aurora Guide SARL, 200 rue de la Croix Nivert, 75015 Paris, France. By using the app or website you agree to these Terms. You must be 18 or older to use the Service.
The Service
Step's Aurora Guide provides information, tools, and guidance for aurora observation and photography through a mobile app (iOS) and website. The app is available on a subscription basis. We may offer additional products, services, or features from time to time.
Subscriptions and Payments
Full access to the app is provided through an in-app purchase of an auto-renewable subscription, processed by Apple through the App Store. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Apple's own terms and conditions govern all billing, refunds, and cancellations.
To manage or cancel your subscription: iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or within the app's Settings.
Free Trial: A 3-day free trial is available with full access to all features. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged the applicable subscription fee.
Fee changes: subscription fee changes will be communicated via the App Store in accordance with Apple's policies.
Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Service are the exclusive property of Steps Aurora Guide SARL. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without prior written consent.
Disclaimer
The Service provides aurora forecasts, space weather data, weather forecasts, and related information sourced from third-party providers. We have no control over the accuracy, availability, or completeness of third-party data. All information and content provided through the app and website, including forecasts, photography guidance, and editorial content, is for informational purposes only and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or temporarily unavailable. We make no guarantees regarding forecast accuracy, aurora visibility, or the availability of the Service or its data at any given time. Any decisions made based on information provided by the Service are your own responsibility.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100 if you have not made any purchase. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you breach these Terms.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. If you have a concern, please contact us first to resolve it informally. EU consumers also benefit from the mandatory consumer protection provisions of their country of residence.
Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. For material changes we will provide at least 30 days notice by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
